Traditional Calligraphy Workshop (Beginner Level)

This is a 3 hour course aimed at anyone wanting to learn the absolute basics of traditional calligraphy without committing to a full course. Suitable for complete beginners, or anyone who’s tried calligraphy on their own and needs a little more help. If you have done a beginners workshop and want to do the capitals and some layout, then this workshop is perfect for you as well.

This workshop will be fun and is meant to demystify calligraphy and give you a little taste of what it’s all about without leaving you feeling overwhelmed.. it’s NOT going to be a serious workshop, and you’re not going to leave as a Calligraphy Master! 😃

We’ll cover the following: How to hold your calligraphy pen, basic lowercase Italic alphabet, how to select and purchase a pen, how to care for your calligraphy pen. If you have a little bit of experience then you can do capitals, or some layout and flourishes

You will use my Lamy calligraphy fountain pens during the workshop, and there will be calligraphy markers and ‘fancy’ Lamy and Kaweco pens for sale as well as inks and paper 😝 (especially for all the pen addicts)
