Brush Lettering Basics - Part 1 (Beginners)

This is a practical 3 hour workshop aimed at teenagers and adults wanting to learn the BASICS of brush lettering.. you will learn enough to be able to use your brush markers and do an easy modern cursive style with outlining, shadowing and blending.

We'll cover the following: How to use your brush markers, basic ‘cursive’ style (lower case & upper case), outlining, shadowing and blending techniques

There will also be pens on sale during the workshop, incl. Tombow, Pentel, Koi, Kuretake, etc, as well as various types of paper most suited to brush lettering.

COST:  R550pp for a 3 hour workshop (incl. a Tombow brush pen worth R65, notes and practice sheets, an A5 Rhodia notebook, access to video tutorials, snacks and refreshments)

Brush Lettering Part 2 (Beginners)

This is a practical 3 hour workshop for teenagers and adults who have done the beginners Part 1 workshop already… you can come and just carry on from where you left off - go over the basics again, and then move onto upper case and some layout.

We'll cover the following: Revision of basic brush lettering (if you feel you need it), upper case, fun creative 'looks' for your lettering', embellishments and flourishing, basic bouncy lettering.

There will also be pens on sale during the workshop, incl. Tombow, Pentel, Koi, Kuretake, etc, as well as various types of paper most suited to brush lettering.

COST:  R400pp for a 3 hour workshop (incl. notes and practice sheets, as well as snacks and refreshments)
